The Art of Henna,
A Gentle Journey in Four Movements
This Workshop Series is an invitation to slow down.

To step away from noise, rush, and expectations, and return to the quiet intelligence of your hands. Through the art of henna, we explore presence, rhythm, and beauty as lived experiences, not as goals to achieve.

This four part journey was created for those who feel drawn to art as a form of care. A space to learn, to breathe, and to enjoy the simple pleasure of creating something beautiful with intention.
Henna here is not about perfection.
It is about flow, connection, and allowing yourself a moment that belongs only to you.

What You Will Experience
Over four thoughtfully guided sessions, you will be gently introduced to the art of henna, moving from foundational techniques into more expressive and intuitive design. Each class unfolds naturally into the next, allowing your confidence and creativity to grow without pressure.

This is a hands on experience rooted in calm, elegance, and curiosity. A space where learning feels nourishing, and art becomes a form of presence.

The Four Movements

First Movement, Beginnings.
This first class is about meeting henna with softness and curiosity. You are gently introduced to the medium, learning how it behaves, how it feels, and how your hands respond when given time and care.

There is no rush here. This movement is about feeling supported and grounded, allowing your hands to relax and trusting that learning can be gentle.
In this session, you will practice using laminated hand templates, follow guided step by step exercises, and learn cone pressure, clean lines, dots, and simple strokes. Questions are always welcome, and guidance is slow, clear, and attentive.

Second Movement, Flow
In this session, your hands begin to move with more freedom and confidence. This class is about understanding rhythm, spacing, and how individual elements connect to one another to create harmonious designs.

You’ll explore how patterns breathe on the skin, how movement guides the eye, and how repetition creates balance and elegance. Flow becomes a conversation between intention and intuition.
There is a sense of ease that begins to develop here. Confidence grows not from rushing, but from repetition, awareness, and allowing patterns to unfold naturally.
In this session, you will learn different styles of flowers, explore multiple ways to build them, and practice connecting designs organically.
We’ll work with chains, beads, and flowing elements, learning how to transition smoothly from one motif to another while maintaining harmony and clarity.

Third Movement, Expression
Here, technique meets intention.
This movement invites you to move beyond following steps and begin listening inward. It is about developing your own visual language while deepening your understanding of composition, contrast, and pattern.
Design becomes more personal in this stage, guided by curiosity and feeling rather than strict structure.

This session focuses on intricate patterns and how they connect with one another to form fuller hand designs. We explore inspirations from different cultural styles with respect and curiosity, using them as a foundation to create your own compositions.
You’ll learn how to balance detail with space, allowing designs to feel expressive, intentional, and visually grounded.

Fourth Movement, Refinement
The final movement is about trust.
This session brings everything together with clarity and presence. Rather than adding more, the focus is on refinement, confidence, and ease in your designs.
Your hands move with greater assurance, guided by everything you have learned along the journey.

In this session, you will work toward creating a finished half sleeve design, flowing from forearm to hand. The composition integrates florals, patterns, mandalas, beads, and elements explored throughout the previous movements.
Guidance is personalized and supportive, helping you refine your work while honoring your natural rhythm and creative voice.
A Space for You
This workshop is intentionally designed as a calm, supportive environment. You are invited to move at your own pace, ask questions freely, make mistakes, and enjoy the process without pressure.
It is a moment to step into beauty, reconnect with yourself, and experience art as care.
